The Student Intervention Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the following programs:

  • Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
    • All public schools in Charles County are PBIS schools. Each school uses the PBIS format to support research-based interventions to help create a positive learning environment to enable student social, emotional, behavioral, and academic success.
    • Mental Health First Aid
      • Mental Health First Aid is a program designed to train select Charles County Public School staff to identify, understand, and respond to mental health and addiction issues.
    • Project Graduation
      • Sponsored by Charles County Public Schools, Project Graduation’s goal is to provide a safe, drug-free environment for graduates of Charles County Public Schools.
  • Safe and drug-free schools
    • Charles County Public Schools is focused on providing a variety of drug-free and violence-free programs for our students. Some of these programs include:
