Program coordinator, programs and student job with UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY

  • Opportunity to provide professional administrative support services within the programs team of the University of Sydney Business School
  • Base salary $ 89,759 – $ 96,764 + 17% retirement

About the opportunity

The program coordinator will use his experience in administrative practices and knowledge of University policies, student administration processes and Business School degree programs to support students and key academic staff. As a seasoned professional, the incumbent will gain solid recommendations and apply their professional know-how to achieve their work goals. The program coordinator will work on one or more business school course programs.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • provide broad, high-level professional administrative support to the programs team
  • establish and manage effective working relationships with key stakeholders and University staff
  • manage the general day-to-day operations and administrative activities of the programs team
  • ensure the quality of the application and respect of the University’s administrative policies and procedures
  • provide project management support and advice during project organization and implementation
  • work with one or more program managers to coordinate the development and implementation of multiple work stream plans to achieve overarching objectives.

About you

We are looking for a Program Coordinator – Programs and Students who own :

  • ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and using sound judgment to resolve issues that may arise in the course of normal day-to-day work
  • advanced computer skills in the MS Office suite with extensive experience in managing calendars
  • Analytical skills and the ability to bring multiple perspectives to problem solving
  • excellent interpersonal, relationship building and influencing skills with the ability to engage positively and effectively with a range of stakeholders while ensuring a strong customer-centric perspective and a ‘can do’ approach to work
  • excellent time and workload management skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively. Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and achieve required results with great attention to detail and a demonstrated self-employment approach
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to engage in independent consultations with a wide range of staff in a large, complex organization and, where appropriate, with external parties
  • strong problem-solving skills and the ability to demonstrate initiative and exercise sound judgment and the ability to prioritize workload during peak periods
  • working knowledge of software such as Sydney Student, Records Management and Content Management Systems
  • experience in creating and maintaining efficient administrative systems
  • Administrative experience in a tertiary organization, working knowledge of academic institutions, structures and the higher education sector (Desirable)
