Appointed K-8 English Language Arts Program Coordinator at Greenwich Schools

Greenwich Public Schools Superintendent Dr Toni Jones announced on Wednesday that she had appointed Kimberly Paladino Coordinator of the K-8 English Language Arts Program, starting July 1.

Paladino will be responsible for the design, development and evaluation of the K-8 English Language Arts curriculum. In addition, she will facilitate and lead the district’s teaching and learning system for all students, including the district’s core curriculum, common assessments, universal instructional practices, data teams, and professional development.

“Ms. Paladino’s dedication and commitment to students throughout her educational career is inspiring,” said Dr Jones. “We are thrilled to have her join Greenwich Public School at the district level. Not only is she a native and resident of Greenwich, but she is also a Greenwich mother whose heart clearly lies in our great city.

Paladino brings a wealth of experience as an educator, most recently as a literacy specialist at GPS’s New Lebanon School since August 2021, where she planned, delivered and monitored the progress of reading remedial interventions. 2 and 3 and collaborated with the administration, classroom teachers and specialists in all subjects related to literacy.

From 2017 to 2021, Ms. Paladino worked at Stamford Public Schools, first as an Individualized Education Program (IEP) Compliance Support Teacher and later as a Child-Based Interventions Support Teacher. on scientific research (SRBI). She taught at Darien Public Schools for nearly nine years and started with New Canaan Public Schools in 2007.

“I am honored and excited to join the district academic team as the new K-8 English Language Arts Coordinator,” said Paladino. “I look forward to working collaboratively with administrators, teachers, parents, students, and the community to improve literacy education and support the success of all students.”

Paladino holds a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Delaware and a master’s degree in teaching, with a concentration in reading, from Sacred Heart University.

She holds certifications in Initial Intermediate Administrator and Supervisor (092), Vocational Remedial Reading and Language Arts (102), and Vocational Primary (013) and Special Education (165).
